Shareholder Correspondence Specialist

The Shareholder Correspondence Specialist will develop and deliver communication and customer service to internal and external clients, which may include shareholders, vendors, managers, and other associates. Key areas of focus include responding to e-mail inquiries, composing and reviewing general correspondence to shareholders, and preparing website content.


Key Responsibilities

  • Composing, editing and/or proofreading of correspondence for Harbor Funds shareholders and other document output. The components include: content, grammar, clarity and style.
  • Responding to inquiries received electronically via the "Contact Us" section of the website.
  • Researching and preparing content for the Frequently Asked Questions segment of the website.
  • Applying understanding of technical/business writing principles to Harbor Services Group's document library of correspondence templates.
  • Willingness to shift focus and responsibilities dependent on the need of other groups to support teamwork within the transfer agency.
  • Other duties or departmental project work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university strongly preferred.
  • Two years or more of business writing experience.
  • Must be flexible, innovative and have the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced and time-critical environment.
  • Competencies must include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
