Harbor Funds Adds Trustee to the Board of Trustees
May 30, 2014

The Board of Trustees of Harbor Funds has appointed Mr. Scott M. Amero to serve on the Board as a trustee. His appointment became effective on May 19, 2014.

Mr. Amero retired in 2010 after a 20 year career at BlackRock, Inc., where he was then Vice Chairman and Global Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income, and Co-Head of Fixed Income Portfolio Management. He currently serves as a Trustee for Rare, a global conservation non-profit, and as a Trustee of Berkshire School.

"We are extremely pleased to have Scott Amero join the Harbor Funds Board. He brings extensive investment and business experience to the Board and shares the Board's commitment to acting in the best interests of fund shareholders" said Harbor Funds Chairman David G. Van Hooser.

Mr. Amero's appointment is the third addition to the Board in the last year. The new members of the Board were added in anticipation of the retirements of a few trustees that are expected to occur over the next several years pursuant to the Board's retirement policy.
