Overview

The Harbor Small Company Value Fund is subadvised by Evercore Asset Management, LLC. The Fund primarily invests in equity securities – common and preferred stocks – of small cap companies. The portfolio manager's strategy is to invest in undervalued companies that have the potential to generate attractive returns in the long term. By employing a fundamental, bottom-up research model, the focus is on companies that the manager believes:

  • Have a compelling valuation relative to its long-term normalized earning power
  • Show attractive valuations as a result of market overreactions to recent events
  • Have an understandable business model and a plan to improve the business
  • Show an emerging competitive advantage.

The Harbor Funds performance shown assumes the reinvestment of dividend and capital gain distributions and is net of management fees and expenses. Returns for periods less than one year are not annualized.

From time to time, certain fees and/or expenses have been voluntarily waived, which has resulted in higher returns. Without these waivers, the returns would have been lower. Voluntary waivers may be applied or discontinued at any time without notice.
